Decabromodiphenyl Ether (DBDPO)
Decabromodiphenyl Ether, also known as decaBDE, decabromodiphenyl oxide (DBDPO), is the most widely used polybrominated diphenyl ether. It is a stable compound because it has no isomers. It is commonly used in high-impact polystyrene applications such as televisions. It is also used in conjunction with antimony trioxide in textiles to contribute to it’s flame retardancy.
